Fasting Journal: Day 2

Day 2 of my water fast, as suspected, was super tough! I woke up feeling somewhat lethargic, nauseas, and had a small headache. I didn't have the best night sleep and did a pretty great workout on day 1 so all of that on top of fasting is probably why I felt that way. My husband felt pretty lethargic throughout the day as well but ended up walking about 3 miles. I decided to take it easy exercise wise and only walked my pups, Lupe and Oscar, around the neighborhood. I also got a colonic, which I talk more about below, and the rest of the day was spent working and reading since I didn't have any auditions or meetings to go to.

Around 1:30pm, my husband made us a cup of Bulletproof coffee to get those healthy fats to our brains and I must say it felt really nice to have a cup of warm liquid in me. It instantly made me feel better! 

I also wanted to share my list of detoxing tools with you! 

MY FAVORITE DETOXING TOOLS

REBOUNDER (mini trampoline) -jumping on a rebounder is not only fun way to exercise, it's also great for lymphatic drainage, which is something people don't really think about. FYI, this one has great reviews and comes with workout videos but the jumping surface doesn't look as big an mine.

DRY BRUSH -dry brushing is a great detoxing tool because it stimulates your lymphatic system, exfoliates, and also helps tone your skin and remove cellulite! Whaaaaat?! Not to mention that it's very invigorating!

FAR INFRARED SAUNA -the heat penetrates the skin deeper than regular saunas to help with better detoxification. We got our far infrared sauna almost ten years ago from High Tech Health and it's been amazing to have in our home office. This cedar infrared sauna and this other one both look absolutely beautiful and have wonderful reviews. So I wanted to give you other options as well.

EPSOM SALTS -who doesn't love a nice calming bath every now and then?! This brand is currently my favorite for epsom salts. They smell amazing and makes me feel relaxed like I'm at a spa!

GRAVITY COLONICS -to help in the detox process, I like to get colonics every other month or so. When I'm fasting, I do one on day 2 or 3. As I mentioned in my previous post, gravity-centered colonics are a great way to help the body rid itself of toxins and waste that is sitting in your colon. In NYC, I've been to Gravity East Village and Release NYC and in Los Angeles I love Fatima at Holistic Life. All of these places provide a safe, gravity-centered colonics by a well-trained and certified colon hydrotherapists.
