My Weekly Detox Chart
I'm so happy to report that I'm still feeling great after my 3 day water fast! I truly do feel cleansed and have a sense of lightness that I want to hold onto forever. Over and over again, I'm getting the same question though. Friends and family have said, "You don't need to lose weight. Why are you doing a fast?" The truth of the matter is that I didn't do it to lose weight...
WHY I FASTED
There are a few reasons why I chose to fast. All of them are things that constantly plague us women both young and old so I know I'm not alone here. The things that were really bothering me right now were:
- clearer skin
- decrease cellulite
- to get rid of the little pooch I had developed over the holidays and couldn't get rid of (UGH those holiday treats seemed like they were sitting in my gut!)
Now that I feel really great and have actually lost 5 lbs after my water fast, I want to actually keep the weight off and continue feeling as light as possible so I came up with a plan of action. I created a detox chart for my husband and I on a giant dry erase board to keep us on track from week to week. The chart is in my home office where we can see it everyday and mark the days that we do the tasks.
MY DETOX CHART
- Dry brushing - every day
- Far infrared sauna - 3x/week
- Running/cardio - 3x/week
- jumping on the mini trampoline - at least 10 min/day
- Drink 8 glasses of water/day
- Going to bed my midnight
- Daily 15-minute meditation in the morning
- Inversions 3x/week
These are all things that I've really been wanting to incorporate more of in my life because A. they're all great for my well-being and B. I already have of all the miscellaneous things like the trampoline, inversion apparatus, sauna, and I even have a couple of dry brushes in my master bathroom. I figured I should put all this stuff into use and help myself out while I'm at it!
