Liquid Gold Elixir Dressing
I'll be the first one to admit--eating super healthy salads every single day can definitely seem boring but it doesn't have to be! If like me, you've adopted a plant-based diet or want to incorporate more salads into your meals (FYI, you should!) I have the fix for your bland salad problem!
The key to avoiding dull salads? Finding easy and tasty recipes for fresh dressings! Homemade dressings have been my saving grace over the years and I know they will be for you too. I'm tellin ya! You'll never go back to store bought dressing with all those yucky preservatives after you make your own. And this recipe, from my nutritionist's first book, is one of my all-time favorites.
Liquid Gold Elixir
*The Raw Food Detox Diet by Natalia Rose (page 102)
When made correctly, this amazing dressing is the color of gold!
2 cups fresh lemon juice
3 whole garlic cloves
3 tablespoons minced ginger
3 tablespoons Nama Shoyu shoy sauce
3 heaping tablespoons raw honey
1 1/2 cups of cold-pressed olive oil
Place all ingredients except the olive oil in a high speed blender, like mine. Begin blending at normal speed. As the mixture is blending, slowly add the oil until it's completely blended. This recipe should last over a week in the fridge.
This dressing is one of my absolute favorites and I'm confident it will be yours too! I just made it last night for dinner and only had two large lemons and it still tasted amazing! You can't go wrong with this one, so enjoy, my dears! You'll probably love it so much you'll want to drink it.
